Build your view

  1. Open Filters in the sidebar and use the add control.
  2. Enter a Name, with an optional Color and Folder.
  3. Choose Add Condition. Select the entity, field, operator and value for the rule.
  4. Set Match to All conditions to require every rule, or Any condition to accept at least one rule.
  5. Review the matching-task count, then choose Create. When editing an existing filter, choose Update.

Try a small, reusable filter

For a follow-up list, add Task → Category → Equals and select your work category. Add Task → Task state → Equals and select In Progress. Choose All conditions so the view requires both.

To find work with no due date, choose Task → Due date → Is empty. To keep a date filter moving with the calendar, choose Relative and an offered period such as Today or Next week. Between needs both dates; Weekday needs at least one selected day.

At least one complete condition and a name are required. An incomplete rule keeps Create or Update unavailable. The count previews direct matches; opening the view can also show related rows to preserve task-tree context.

Make the conditions easy to understand

Start with one or two conditions, then add more when the result is too broad. A category plus a status is often easier to maintain than a long list of exceptions.

Folders and colors help organize saved views. Editing a saved view changes which tasks it selects; it does not move those tasks into a new category.

Review the complete task tree

Matching tasks retain their tree context. A parent or sibling may appear even when it does not directly match the saved conditions.

On mobile

Use the Tasks view picker or More → Saved views to return to reusable filters. The underlying filtering rules are shared with the web app.
