Select the work you mean to change

Open the list options menu and choose Select tasks. Select the rows you intend to change, then use the selected-task count/action control to open the selection’s menu.

Review the selected tasks, especially when the view contains expanded task trees. A parent selection can affect its subtree for a structural change.

Apply a common change

  1. Select the intended tasks.
  2. Open the selection’s action menu.
  3. Choose a supported action, such as status, category, tags, priority, or schedule.
  4. Review any impact confirmation, then apply the change.

Understand unavailable actions

The menu changes in multi-select mode. Add subtask is a single-parent action and is not shown as a bulk action. A selection that includes read-only tasks can disable editing actions.

If an action is unavailable, narrow the selection to tasks you can edit and check whether the action is supported for multiple items.

Be careful with deletion

Review the selected tasks and the confirmation before deleting. The short-lived structural Undo for task moves is not a general deletion recovery feature.
