Choose a repeat pattern

Custom repeat settings let you choose an interval in days, weeks, months or years. Weekly patterns select weekdays; monthly patterns select days of the month. Ends can be Never, On a date, or After a number of dates.

The repeat count counts dates. If you selected several due times, all of those times run on each repeat date.

  1. Open Schedule and choose the first date and time.
  2. Under Repeat task, choose Every day, Every weekday, Every week, Every month, or Every year.
  3. Choose Custom… for an interval, selected weekdays or days of the month, and an end condition.
  4. Review the repeat summary and choose Save schedule.

Repeat at several times in a day

After choosing a repeat pattern, use Add another time to give the task multiple daily times. Review every time in the summary before saving. A task without repetition has a single time.

Each due time starts its own reminder behavior. Completing one occurrence stops its reminders; the next occurrence remains scheduled.

Edit the intended scope

Only This One creates a one-off version for the selected occurrence and keeps later repetitions unchanged. This And Future updates the series from that point forward. Cancel if you are not sure which scope you need.

For a weekly review, moving this week’s occurrence should not accidentally move every later week.

Finish an occurrence

Complete the occurrence you worked on. The repeat pattern governs continuing work; one completed occurrence is not the same as ending the recurring series.

Skip one occurrence

Where available, use Skip this occurrence from the task menu when this repetition is not needed. Skipping is separate from completing the work and does not mean the whole repeating commitment has ended.

Stop future repetition

From an occurrence, Manage series opens the recurring series settings. Choose End series when the repeating commitment is finished.

The confirmation explains that unfinished future occurrences and their reminders will be removed, while past and completed occurrences remain. Read it before confirming. Deleting a series has a different effect and can remove its history.
